How do I establish an account?


A supervisor in your group will need to create your account. You will need to provide the following information:

  • Unity ID
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Employee ID

A supervisor in your group will establish all other information needed:

  • Account number from which you are paid
  • Labor object code
  • Work-study status
  • Rate of pay
  • HR record number (optional)


Please email with the following information for each group account you wish to establish:

  • Group name (choose anything that makes sense to you)
  • Campus Unit (Department, College, Administrative Unit, etc.)
  • Campus Box Number
  • Unity ID of the Owner

You will be notified via email when your group account is ready to be used.

Can I establish more than one account?


Yes. If you are an employee reporting to two or more groups that use PayDay, you will be provided a dropdown of choices when recording your hours and/or printing your timesheet. These choices will remain in place as long as each group lists you as an active employee.


You are encouraged to establish as many group accounts as makes sense for the bi-weekly employees you need to manage. Group accounts do not have to be established by OUC, pay account or organizational chart, but should make some sort of organizational sense to you and your unit. Some examples we have seen include: one group account per supervisor, one group account per organization sub-group (labs, helpdesk, desktop support, etc.) and one group account per employee type (RA, TA, Workstudy, etc.).
